As you are all aware it is really important that your child regularly attends school and statistics show that there is a clear link between social and academic progress and regular attendance. It is just as important that your child arrives at school on time. When this doesnât happen it is really difficult for everyone.
Registration is the time where your child settles down and prepares to start their lessons. Your child can feel embarrassed when they arrive late and it can cause disruption to the entire class. If your child arrives after registration their absence is recorded as âUâ which is effectively an unauthorised absence for the whole session.
Please remember, you can always discuss any anxieties or reluctance your child might have about coming to school, or any other issue that might be affecting your child getting to school on time.
Please remember to write in your childâs reading diary when you have read with you child, this way we know your child has read and we can change their books.
News from the Friends
Just to remind you that Monday, 16th October is a non-uniform day. We are expecting children to come in non-uniform and not halloween fancy dress please. We are asking for a donation of a Halloween themed tombola prize. Buckets will be placed on the playground near to where your child comes into school and your prizes can be popped into these. Please do not drop prizes into the school office - thank you.
