Dear Parents,

Big Shares

Parents were invited into school to find out about the curriculum for this half-term. Information about reading and handwriting were shared, and in some classes parents were given some tasks to complete.

We would like to thank all the parents for their feedback.

What you thought was good:

Spending time in the classroom and seeing how the class reacts to instruction.

Finding out what the learning will be for this term.

Seeing the children so proud of their work.

Love seeing how much they have progressed.

Being made aware of what subjects/ topics are being taught.

All of it!

Action points from your comments:

Seeing some activities that the children are engaged with.

Making provision for children whose parents are not able to attend Big Share.

Nothing more - Perfect!

100% of the evaluations received stated the event had been beneficial.

Message from Mrs Hart and Mrs Warner:

Thank you to all the parents who attended our Big Share on Wednesday.  We hope you enjoyed this short session to look at your child's books and ask any questions.  We look forward to hopefully seeing as many of you at our Grand Finale which is a longer session where there will be the opportunity to complete small activities with your child.

Individual reading in school and at home

All children have at least one book from the reading scheme and/or a reading book from our school's collection. We try to hear children read at least once every fortnight in school, either through guided reading or individual reading. We endeavour to change finished reading books as quickly as possible.

Message regarding parking:

Could we please politely ask you to be considerate of the residents around the school when parking to drop off or pick up your child(ren) from school. Can you please note that the car park opposite the school is for Circle Housing residents only and not to park there.   Thank you for your cooperation in this.
