Dear Parents and Carers,
Well here ends another busy week!
Celebrating Our Learning
Reception have been learning about shapes this week.
Year 2 have been doing some fantastic Puppets this week with help from family members who came into school to help us sew puppets all ready for next weekâs Grande Finale. The puppets look amazing! The children have been working hard on their performances for next week.
Nursery have been learning about the Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch.
Year 1 have been practicing their Gymnastics Skills this week.
Morning Drop off Arrangements
After half term there will be a change to the process of where you will drop off your child. We would ask that you take your child to their outside classroom door and there they will be greeted by the teacher. Doors will now be open from 8.50 am. Teachers will still bring your child out to you in the playground at the end of the school day. We would also ask that at the end of the day that you exit the school premises via the smaller playground gate and not through the staff car park. Thank you.
At Nightingale Infant and Nursery School, we are lucky to have a Student and Family Support Assistant, Mrs Jo Thurston, who is here to help you with any issues which may be affecting your child's education. Mrs Thurston is available every morning between 9.00 am and 9.30 am and is happy and willing to see any parent (without prior appointment) who has a concern they wish to discuss. Mrs Thurston is based in "The Nest" (new name for "The Hive").
Our aim is to provide children with a nurturing environment at lunchtime in which to safely explore their worries and concerns relating to any aspect of school life including learning, friendships and developing skills for life. We recognise our children as individuals as well as being a part of our school. "The Hide" (the mobile classroom) is a place for a child to spend quality time being listened to.
