Letter from New Chair of Governors
Letter from our new Chair of the newly formed Governing Board:
Dear Parents, Carers, Staff and friends of Nightingale Infant and Nursery School,
I am pleased to have been asked to be the new Chair of Governors at Nightingale Infant and Nursery School. I am an experienced Chair of Governors and have been involved in education for 22 years either as a teacher, senior leader and more recently as a mentor and consultant. I look forward to working with Mr Coy and the senior leaders in the school and with colleagues from the Local Authority to ensure that the children have the best possible standard of education and care.
As a Governing Board we intend to work closely with all key stakeholders to the school, including the staff, pupils and you as parents and carers. We will meet every two weeks during the school day enabling us to visit classes and monitor and challenge the plans that the school has in place. We intend to seek the views of staff, parents and carers ensuring that any comments are given due consideration. On 22nd March 3.00-4.00pm we will hold a drop-in session where you can come and meet some of us.
Should you wish to contact me to discuss any matter further, please do so by first contacting our Headteacher Mr Coy or the school office. I look forward to meeting and working with you throughout this academic year.
Ms Samantha Dangerfield
Chair of Governors
