BELIEVE TO ACHIEVE

19.01.18 Newsletter

Dear all,

It's been a busy start to the new term with lots of exciting things happening in class already. The children have been introduced to their new topics and they regularly stop me to show me their work as I walk around the school. The children in Reception are learning about the world around them through their topic of People Who Help Us, Year 1 are learning about Castles and Year 2 are learning about Traditional Tales.

Keeping our children happy and healthy at Nightingale:

Our weekly PE lessons provided by Premier Sport are going really well. This term they are focusing on Multi-skills which helps to develop confidence, teamwork, discipline as well as all round fitness levels.

Exciting News:

We are pleased to announce that Year 1 are about to receive some new exciting resources! It's a surprise at the minute, the children will be told next week! Watch this space.....

Staffing Update:

Mrs Martin, unfortunately will not be back before the February half term.  Mrs Dovani-Shotton will continue in Goldfinch on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. We thank you all for your patience on this matter. The Year Two team will continue to work hard to ensure consistency in the children's learning.   I regularly pop in to see the pupils and the staff in their classrooms to monitor the teaching and learning environments.

Mobile Phones:

May I remind everyone, that the school site is a 'No Mobile Phone Zone'. Please do not use your phones on site.
